Senior Insight Analyst

Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity. We provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia.

Position: Senior Insight Analyst
Location: Flexible across England, Wales and Northern Ireland
Contract type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 35 per week
Salary: £35,747 to £39,742 actual per annum, depending on location

Closing date: 04 August 2019
Interview date: 12 August 2019

About the role:

Are you able to distinguish between what is an enlightening piece of information against a background of noise? Can you filter the key variables that influences performance and trends from the inconsequential variables that distract?

Insight allows us to make smart decisions with confidence. Faced with ever expanding datasets from both internal and external data sources we need to be able to convert the raw data into actionable insight so colleagues can spend less time second guessing and more time making the changes we need benefit people affected by dementia.

As part of the Data department, this role will work on a wide variety of projects to help colleagues make sense of datasets and develop findings so they can make more effective decisions or communicate more impactful information. Using statistical analysis, data visualisation and storytelling as tools towards creating understandable recommendations, this role will play a crucial role in giving our colleagues and campaigns the insight required for success.

This role will be providing the organisation with a much-needed capability to leverage data we have access to and provide greater value from the data we manage. Working across departments and projects as well as interacting with local teams to senior management this is an exciting role which offers a wide variety of experiences.

About you:

We are looking for someone who can dive into the depth of broad datasets and emerge with jargon free findings for others who want to use the data but may not understand or need to know what a bivariate analysis is. You can present findings in both the written and oral form whilst engaging your audience by making your work relevant for them. You have all the analysis to hand if required but know that often, less is more when it comes to delivering focused messages that stick.

You have great technical skills in data analysis and have some experiences in languages such as SQL, R and Python. You can direct your own work but know how to keep business colleagues and technical colleagues engaged as part of a broader project team.

Our employees work hard every day to make a true difference in people's lives. We are proud to support them with a range of benefits, recognition and many options for working agilely. All contributing to a strong work life balance. We also have various learning programmes to support you in your development and help you grow to realise your potential and shape a career with Alzheimer's Society.

Alzheimer’s Society embraces diversity, inclusion and accessibility for all of our people. We are committed to building a diverse organisation that represents the communities we serve and ensuring inclusion in everything we do.

You may have experience of the following: Senior Insight Analyst, Insight Analyst, Business Performance, Market Research, Insight Data Analyst, KPI, Key Performance Indicators, Data Analyst, Business Recommendations, Data Analysis, Reporting Analyst, Customer Insight Analyst, Python, SQL, Charity, Charities, NFP, Not for Profit, Third Sector, etc.
