About the role

To be working at Parkinson’s UK at this time could well be a career high and a life event for all of us. We’re moving fast now to deliver better treatments and maybe a cure for Parkinson’s within years, not decades, and you would be part of the Supporter Care and Regional Fundraising Operations team.

You’ll build and maintain relationships between Parkinson’s UK and existing, as well as potential new supporters, through high quality communications. You’ll also process voluntary income and associated data received at the UK office. 

You’ll look to maximise the potential of each supporter, as well as how the charity can support them, working with your team and colleagues across the charity. You will ensure that every supporter has a great experience of Parkinson’s UK. What could be a better career reward than that?

What you’ll do:  

In this role, you will:

  • Provide a welcoming, efficient, proactive and professional service to supporters and potential supporters of Parkinson’s UK by working as part of a team 
  • Process and thank voluntary income received at UK office and ensure all supporter data and information is entered onto the database accurately and in line with current procedures and legal requirements
  • Participate in the delivery and fulfilment of regional fundraising events, including attendance and support of event organiser on the day, as required

What you’ll bring:

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience of delivering effective customer service/supporter care
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels providing clear information, support and advice both verbally and in writing
  • Experience of operating in a modern digital workplace, including using digital tools to work collaboratively and productively
