A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Corporate Fundraising Manager in the Corporate & Events fundraising team at SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity.

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, supports the person behind the uniform; any time they need us, in any way they need us, for as long as they need us. Every year, SSAFA helps more than 73,000 people from the Forces family to get back on their feet; those currently serving, reserves, veterans and their families. Support is there for people at any stage in their military career; from the youngest recruit to the oldest veteran – no one’s service is ever forgotten. About the role

We are seeking an experienced individual to drive new business corporate fundraising, with a particular aim to secure high value corporate partnerships.

The role will also include development of relationships with companies who have attended SSAFA events, including our ‘Corporate Friends’ networking scheme. You will motivate and inspire employees at corporate partner companies to raise funds for SSAFA across all opportunities and will also work on raising awareness of the charity, on In-Kind donations and volunteering support.

This is a strategically important role for the charity. You will work very closely with other members of the Corporate and Events team, as well as liaising with the Commercial Partnerships, Major Giving and Marketing Communications teams to ensure that we are maximising opportunities across the charity. You will also work with appropriate service delivery colleagues to identify SSAFA funding and project requirements.

About the team

The Corporate & Events team work very closely together and consist of: Head of Corporate & Events, Corporate Fundraising Manager, Corporate Partnerships Officer, Events Manager, Special Events Officer and Challenge Events Officer. This is a dedicated and enthusiastic team who collaborate with each other very well.

About you

To carry out this role successfully you will have significant experience in securing large scale, high value corporate partnerships as well as grant income from corporate foundations for project-specific funding.

Proficient financial forecasting and reporting skills are essential, and you must be a team player. You will be required from time to time to attend events on behalf of the charity.
