Business Operations Manager
Are you an excellent Operations and Finance professional interested in working within a higher education sports organisation?
This is an exciting opportunity for you to play a key role within the organisation, ensuring effective business delivery including Finance, IT and Operations, contributing to the overall smooth running of the office.
Working closely with the Operations Director, your responsibilities will fall within functions across finance, IT, information systems management, office management, operational efficiency and process improvement. Day to day duties will consist of managing the outsourced management accounting function and all financial services, including payments and cash collections, preparing financial and data reports, managing the banking and payment authorisation, and the annual audit process. You will support the outsourced IT and information systems management, assisting with the implementation of the new CRM system, which will include managing internal information and storage systems and all shared drive information systems and integration. Working closely with the Director of Operations, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to optimise internal systems and processes driving performance and efficiency. In addition, you will line manage the Business Services Administrator, enabling delivery of the above functions.
To be considered for this role, it is essential to have substantial experience within a business support role across operations, finance, IT and information systems management. The successful candidate will have experience of interpreting and managing financial information, handling financial audit processes and managing outsourced contracts, as well as working with CRM systems. You will have the ability to utilise technologyÂ to deliver performance gathering, analysing and presenting quantative and qualitative data. The ideal candidate will have excellent IT skills, such as Excel, with experience of line managing mentoring and motivating staff to deliver an efficient service. The ideal candidate will have solid finance skills balanced with day to day operational experience. Knowledge of Xero, Microsoft Dynamics or a management accountancy qualification is desirable.
