Are you able to lead, shape and deliver effective communications?

Prospectus is supporting a grant giving foundation in their search for a Head of Communications. The overall purpose of this role is to design communications to explain their strategy, programmes, data, policy positions and more, to attract, engage and celebrate grantees. You will develop and execute media strategies, develop relationships with target representatives, oversee copy-writing and production of marketing materials, articles and statements. You will act as a guardian of the brand and monitor its development and implementation. Managing relationships with external suppliers, keeping up to date with best practise and following changes to legislation and innovation is key.

To be successful as a Head of Communications, you will be experienced in leading a team and comfortable working in a busy environment. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with managing budgets and comfort with IT major programmes will be needed. Being organised and able to manage multiple deadlines without comprising your attention to detail will be valuable. Having a variety of experience across platforms will be helpful as this role covers writing and production of printed materials, use of online and social media, and video. Having knowledge or experience in the charity sector is a bonus.
