Governance Officer
This is an exciting time to join an organisation with an important role in the UK’s world-class higher education sector.
Higher education is changing across the UK, and our client is evolving to meet its needs. They are the UK’s independent quality body for higher education with a mission to safeguard and improve the quality of UK higher education, wherever it is delivered in the world. Our client has already started work as the designated quality body for higher education in England, and their new membership scheme was launched in July. They’re changing the way they work and introducing new services to benefit universities and colleges in the UK and support their operation globally.
Position: Governance Officer
Location: Gloucester, Gloucestershire
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £27,373 to £34,480 per annum, dependent upon knowledge, skills and experience

About the role:
They’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic Governance Officer, who shares their commitment to improving and promoting the UK’s world class reputation for delivering a quality higher education experience for all students.
This role within their Governance, Policy and Communication department is responsible for providing high quality administrative support to the Board and its committees and ensuring that the organisation is compliant with relevant charity laws and regulations. The role also undertakes key tasks relating to data protection as required by our client’s Data Protection Officer.
About you:
They are looking for someone who has experience of supporting governance committees or senior management teams and has worked in a governance and / or compliance environment previously.
