Do you love local heritage and helping others to enjoy it as much as you do? Our client is looking for a Heritage and Volunteering Officer to join them as part of a new two year National Lottery Heritage Fund project for Hastings Country Park.

ROLE: Heritage and Volunteering Officer – Hidden Hastings Heritage
REF: SS06
SALARY: £21,989 per annum
HOURS: Full time - 37.5 per week Monday to Friday, with a willingness to carry out some evening and weekend working
CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed Term Contract for two years
OPERATIONAL AREA: Sussex and Surrey
LOCATION: Hastings

Role Description:

The park has a fascinating range of natural, archaeological and historical heritage and they are seeking someone who can help them bring this to life for local communities through the creation of first-class interpretation, heritage trails and practical conservation throughout the park. You will have experience of recruiting and supporting volunteers which can be used to build a team that will help discover and uncover the park’s heritage.

This exciting role combines project management, practical conservation and a love of heritage, all set within a stunning and very special natural landscape.

This role requires a Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for which you will need to be insured for business use. Employees are able to claim back mileage rates as per our Expenses Policy.
