Job Details
Our client is a London based charity aiming to prevent homelessness. They work closely with vulnerable and socially excluded people to help transform their lives. They are currently looking to recruit an Arabic speaking Support Worker to provide integration and resettlement support to Syrian refugees in the Lambeth area. This position is offered on a full-time (37.5 hours), temporary basis initially for 2-3 months.
As an Arabic Speaking Support Worker, you will work as part of a team of support workers to provide intensive resettlement and integration support to Syrian refugee families. You will be working in partnership with families and other agencies to undertake assessments to identify the key strengths and barriers to integration. Your key responsibilities will be providing and co-ordinating intensive and structured support and intervention to families.
To be successful in this role, you must have experience of working within refugee resettlement. Due to the type of clientele, literacy in classical Arabic, North African Arabic or Levantine Arabic is an essential criterion.
The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.
To be considered, you must be available immediately and be in possession of a fully enhanced DBS check that is registered to the online update service.
