This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, target driven and strategic fundraiser, who can apply their experience from across a range of income streams to help steer the direction of our grassroots fundraising at a time of growth and development. You will have drive and ambition, and have a proactive outgoing approach.

The RVC is the most highly ranked Vet School in the world and has been at the forefront of veterinary medicine since our inception in 1791. Philanthropy has played a key role in supporting our education, research and clinical facilities and it will be a vital part of our future. The College fundraises through its registered charity, the RVC Animal Care Trust and in its own right. This is an exciting time to be part of our small but high-achieving fundraising team. The postholder will largely be responsible for maintaining and developing our core, grassroots fundraising as the College embarks on a major capital campaign.

The focus of this role is the acquisition of new donors and retention of existing supporters through a programme of communications and curating a portfolio of fundraising initiatives (including appeals, regular giving and events) designed to raise funds and inspire support. The post-holder will manage an experienced Marketing Executive and Fundraising Administrator so line management experience would be advantageous.

We offer a generous reward package and are flexible in relation to working patterns. This is a part-time post, 4 days or 28 hours per week. We also encourage our staff to develop their skills through training and conference attendance. There will be occasional weekend working for a variety of stewardship and fundraising events.
