Our client forms part of a partnership of organisations to achieve outcomes focused on preventing homelessness. They work with individuals across Brent who are at risk of becoming homeless by preventing those in accommodation from losing their tenancies as well as supporting individuals to secure and maintain accommodation. They are currently looking for two temporary Lead Prevention Workers to join their team in Brent.
Providing housing related advice, you will support a case load of clients who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in Brent. Client and outcome focussed, you will work with the Lead Managers and Senior Practitioners by contributing to the continual improvement of the service effectiveness, ensuring that services users receive a high quality service. Working closely with clients you will produce Personal Housing Plans for clients as well as prevent evictions, secure suitable accommodation for homeless people and work with referring agencies to ensure they have access to services that support them in maintaining their accommodation.
To be successful, you will have a strong record and good understanding of the issues involved in delivering effective support services to a range of vulnerable people facing homelessness. Demonstrable experience of case management and providing housing advice is essential for this position as is strong knowledge of legislation relating to the homeless and housing sector.
