The Charity bring the local community together by responding to their needs and interests and offering open-access family, children's, and youth work and informal education in a community setting, delivered by specialist practitioners in their local facilities as well as local primary and secondary schools.

As the Community Leader, a key aspect of your responsibilities will be to lead a team of youth and children's practitioners, sessional and volunteer workers to create, deliver and manage community based programmes for young people aged 0-19. Excitingly, your role will also involve developing a new measure for Quality Assurance of the programmes and you'll hold the responsibility of reporting into Trustees and funders on the impact of the programmes.

To be considered for this role, you'll need to have experience of delivering and managing community based programmes or informal/formal education programmes to a broad range of children and young people. You might have a teaching background or be a youth work team leader for example.

You'll need to have a strong track record of leading a team as well as operations in a community or professional setting and will need to be a flexible individual, often working outside of normal working hours.

If you're excited by this role and are dedicated and passionate about bringing local communities together through youth work and informal education and can lead a team to success, please apply today!
