Support Worker

Position: Day Support Worker 
Location: London Borough of Barnet 
Contract type: Casual 
Hours: As and when required 
Salary: £9.27 per hour

About the role: 

You will be working in their day support service based in Hendon. The service provides a range of activities to provide mental stimulation, social and physical activities tailored to meet the individual’s interests and support needs. There will be opportunity to work in the community, facilitating activities and offering support to people with dementia. 

About you: 

They are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable individuals to join their dedicated team of staff and volunteers. You will possess NVQ Level 2 or have an equivalent qualification or demonstrable experience and have an understanding of the needs of people with dementia (and their carers). 

You will have good communication and listening skills and a can-do attitude to providing timely appropriate support to people enabling them to achieve the maximum benefit and enjoyment from their time spent in the day support service.
