The Careers & Enterprise Company was established in 2015 to help link schools and colleges to employers, in order to increase employer engagement for young people. Our mission is to prepare and inspire young people for the fast-changing world of work.

This is an exciting time at The Careers & Enterprise Company. During our first three years, we have worked with Local Enterprise Partnerships to build a national network which now links 2,000 schools and colleges to employers. We have also funded 150 programmes to provide high-quality employer engagement activities to young people where they are needed most.

This role is critical in supporting and growing the employers who engage with the company’s mission to inspire and prepare young people for the world of work. The Careers Strategy calls for every young person in secondary school and college to have an encounter with the world of work every year and every mainstream secondary school and college to have access to our network of coordination, including to an Enterprise Adviser (senior business volunteer).

Working with the Head of Employer Engagement and the wider employer engagement team, you will seek to increase business engagement with schools, colleges, young people and careers activity providers to reach these goals. You will work closely with the regional delivery team to translate business commitments into delivery on the ground and provide account management and feedback to ensure those involved can understand the progress and impact to which they are contributing. You will be the key point of contact for a number of accounts / sectors and stakeholder management will be key.

Our organisation has a privileged opportunity to make a difference to the lives of millions of young people, helping to inspire and prepare them for the fast-changing world of work, and we want you to help us make it happen.

To apply, please submit a CV and a covering letter (no more than 2 sides of A4). Please be aware applications with no supporting cover letter will not be considered.
