Occupational Therapist 

Our client is a specialist Centre providing holistic care together with learning, leisure and other opportunities for adults and children with severe epilepsy, learning difficulties and complex health needs. 

Position: Occupational Therapist (Grade 5&6) 
Location: Much Hadham, Hertfordshire 
Job type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 37.5 Hours per week 
Salary: Grade 5 - £25,449 to £28,501 per annum (Point 28-32); Grade 6 - £30,136 to £33,355 per annum (Point 34-38)

About the role: 

They are looking for two Occupational Therapists, one Grade 5 and one Grade 6, to join their busy multi-disciplinary health care services team operating on their 68 acre site which is home to around 240 residential and day users of their services. Their teams work across their services within the Centre so the role is varied, providing professional support to service users in their adult services, college, school and children’s home. Both post holders will report to the Senior Occupational Therapist. 

About you: 

What matters the most to them are your excellent general professional skills and your approach to their very special services users in this unique operating environment. They need their new team members to have a diploma / degree in Occupational Therapy, to be HCPC registered and have some kind of evidence of CPD in Occupational Therapy. 

You will independently assess, develop and implement specialist treatment programmes for individuals with learning disabilities and / or behavioural related needs, using investigate and analytical skills, to formulate an individualised management and treatment programme based on advanced clinical reasoning and evidence based practice. 

The Grade 6 OT will also have the additional responsibility of training and developing Therapy Assistants and others as required. You will also be accountable for their day to day line management. You will have experience of working in a range of clinical settings with adults and children with complex and physical needs, you will be comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team, using special equipment, and supporting and guiding the therapy assistants. 

The Grade 5 OT post holder must have experience across a range of clinical placements / relations and is desirable previous experience of working within the NHS / Public Sector. 

HCPC registration is essential.
