Job Details

A charity are looking for a new Head of Operations to ensure the smooth and efficient day to day running of the organisation and that it functions successfully.

As part of the Senior Management team you will also contribute to strategic development, play a key role in shaping the culture of the organisation and ensuring compliance with all relevant requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
-Working with the CEO to support the Board in development and implementation of organisational strategy, values and culture.
-Oversee organisational performance against strategic delivery plan, and lead on the reporting to the Board and regulatory authorities.
-Coordinate Board meetings, including developing agendas, coordinating and writing high quality papers, liaison with colleagues and Board members, and ensuring discussion and decisions are recorded.
-Oversee legal requirements for operation of the charity
-Have oversight of the charity's workstreams to inform reporting and the allocation and development of resources.
-Identify opportunities for collaboration internally and externally
-Oversee performance management and development across the organisation, identifying development needs for staff managers and individuals.
-Manage the charity's budgets on a day-to-day basis liaising with the CEO on the setting of budgets in line with strategic priorities.
Oversee the recruitment of staff
-Manage and oversee the managed service contracts for IT, HR and Finance.
-Line management of an EA and an Operations Coordinator

Skills and Experience required:
-Experience of leading an operations function or team
-Experience of leading effective strategic and operational planning processes
-Significant experience of effective partnership / collaborative working both internally and externally
-Experience of representing an organisation at a senior level with key stakeholders
-Experience of providing clear direction, line management, supervision and support to staff, and managing HR issues
-The ability to produce robust contractual, performance and financial monitoring information and reports internally and for regulators.
