Harris Hill are thrilled to be working with the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) to help in their search for a new Membership Manager.

The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) is a global alliance of about 150 civil society organisations, professional bodies and corporates promoting eye health through advocacy, knowledge and partnerships. IAPB's mission is a world in which everyone has access to the best possible standard of eye health without being exposed to financial hardship, where no one is needlessly vision impaired, and where those with irreversible vision loss achieve their full potential.

As the Membership Services Manager you will be the lead relationship manager for all IAPB members and co-ordinate and deliver the services IAPB offer. This will include managing IAPB events such as the twice-yearly board meetings, global assembly 2020 and annual council of members. You'll be responsible for member communications and member engagement at all levels and lead on the successful delivery of the recruitment and retention strategy and IAPB's day to day membership affairs and to support the SMT in the maintenance of high value membership relationships

Key Responsibilities:
To manage all day to day matters relating to IAPB's membership affairs.
To be the first line of contact for all membership enquiries and provide intelligence for IAPB staff interaction with member organisations.
Work with the IAPB communications team on newsletters and other member communications and engagement to increase retention
To be responsible for securing annual membership income
Maintaining agreed member retention rates and achieving agreed member recruitment targets.
To support the Director and SMT as required in maintaining and building the relationship with our Patron and Group A Members including providing briefings, key messages and background information on member organisations and other partners and stakeholders.
To lead the organisation of IAPB Board and Council Meetings and committee meetings by arranging meeting logistics partners, managing meeting agendas, side meetings and distribution of papers and minutes of all governance related matters
Maintain the IAPB member database with information on all member organisations and funders
Liaise with external agencies and suppliers as necessary to help deliver key IAPB global projects and events invested in by Members, Patrons and Sponsors including the Global Assembly 2020 in Singapore and the Council of Members event in Tanzania 2019



Skills and Experience Required:
- Qualified to degree level or with equivalent experience
Experience of account and relationship management
Experience of recruitment or sales activities and planning
Experience of using CRM / stakeholder management systems and interrogating data and reporting
Outstanding relationship building skills at all levels
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong presentation skills
Highly organised and process driven
Highly numerate and ICT literate
Good level of financial budgeting skills
Project management skills ideally
