Do you have experience in delivering exceptional new business development in a charity setting? Are you an inspiring leader with demonstrable experience of managing budgets?

We are recruiting for a Corporate Development Team Manager to oversee and deliver the new business development strategy across the team.

Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres and charity shops. Last year, Dogs Trust centres cared for over 15,000 dogs; we never put a healthy dog down.

Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships, the successful candidate will lead on the implementation of the charity's new business development for prospective Dogs Trust partners and will be responsible for managing (and potentially growing) the Corporate Development Team.

In this busy role you will have responsibility for ensuring all aspects of new business development is fulfilled for prospective Dogs Trust partners as well as overseeing the corporate volunteering programme and Payroll Giving income stream. You will have responsibility for developing your own pool of prospects across various types of partnership, including cause related marketing, sponsorship, licensing, charity of the year and employee engagement.

To be successful in this role you will have a proven track record of delivering exceptional new business development in a charity setting, including demonstrating the ability to uplift the value of existing partnerships. You will have previous line management experience, as well as being skilled in writing successful, inspiring, emotive and technically accurate proposals and pitches, tailored to a corporate audience.  You will need to be an excellent communicator who is able to effectively manage conflicting priorities, as well as being highly numerate and able to manage the team’s budget.
