Job Details
Do you believe people have the power to make a difference in our society? Do you want to change the world for the better?
The Directory of Social Change is a leading national charity which supports an independent voluntary sector through campaigning, research, training and publications. DSC is the largest supplier of information and training to the voluntary sector and its work helps tens of thousands of organisations achieve their aims every year.
We are looking for an experienced, knowledgeable and passionate individual to be their next Policy and Public Affairs Manager. The overall purpose of this role is to develop and deliver DSC's policy and campaigns work, promoting it inside and outside the organisation. A typical day could involve responsibilities such as giving a policy briefing to DSC's trustees, writing insightful blogs and interesting copy for the Policy Bulletin, discussing DSC's position on the latest charity sector initiative with Ministers, doing media interviews, delivering speeches for an audience of charity leaders, or chairing a roundtable of funders or fundraisers.
To be successful in this role you will have experience creating and giving presentations, proven experience in policy, campaigns or public affairs work and ultimately understand the key issues facing the voluntary and community sector.
A full job description will be provided to candidates shortlisted by Prospectus.
Please apply with a Word Document copy of your CV. Cover letters are not required at this stage.
Please be advised that this role may close sooner than the date stated.
