We are looking for a creative and strategic communications expert who is a natural and confident leader, to join our clients team as Research Communications Manager.

Position: Research Communications Manager

Location: London (office based)

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: Circa £37,299 (including £3,299 per annum inner London weighting)

Contract: Permanent

The Role

We are looking for a Research Communications Manager who is able to act as a force for effective change with a positive attitude and flexible in their approach; and who can develop inspiring and motivational stories around our client’s research that are compelling, yet grounded in scientific facts and evidence.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, creative science and communications research professional who can support the organisation in bringing research to the centre of the organisational narrative, enabling staff in all parts of the charity to have the confidence of using inspirational stories and compelling key messages to underpin their day to day roles.

Your external presence will also be vital, developing strong relationships with funded researchers and the broader research and clinical professional community as a whole, building trust and rapport amongst experts to work with you and help you share their research messages and outputs in meaningful and engaging ways.

As Research Communications Manager, you will be:

 

  • An excellent and articulate communicator
  • A great story-teller with a strong understanding of research and research impact,
  • A creative thinker who can enable the organisation to deliver their research messages in new and innovative ways.
