The 10 million Appeal  
  
Versus Arthritis won't stop until every one of the 10 million people living with the pain of arthritis have the care and support they need to live their lives as they wish. Our ambition is to create a world that no longer tolerates arthritis - no longer dismissing it as inevitable, untreatable and unimportant.  
  
To deliver our ambition the need to articulate a strong, compelling case for support to drive fundraising over the next 10 years has become a major organisational priority. Growth is being powered by the creation and implementation of a new fundraising campaign that will engage existing and new donors and supporters, 10 Million Versus Arthritis.   
  
We want the very best fundraisers on our team as we launch the appeal in November 2019.    
  
About the role  
  
We are looking to recruit a Philanthropy Officer to build and manage long-term relationships with supporters to solicit donations and achieve agreed income targets.   
  
You will ensure all prospects, donors, and communications are recorded on the CRM system to ensure effective relationship management. You will build relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure that the work of the department is understood and actively supported in other areas and crucially, you will adopt and support the targets set for the 10 Million Versus Arthritis Appeal.  
  
The best person for this job will have experience of researching and identifying significant new prospects and working to and delivering income targets. You will be able to articulately package up priority projects and will be a great communicator who can write and present well. The best person will also be very keen to learn more about best in class Philanthropy Fundraising.
