Head of Regular Giving
The University of Manchester
£40,792-£50,132
This is a wonderful opportunity to lead The University of Manchester’s award-winning Regular Giving programme. You will manage a team of three people, supported by over 50 part-time student fundraisers, to engage with graduates over the phone, face-to-face, digitally and through direct mail. Together, you will play a vital role in the creation and management of an extensive and ambitious year-round multimedia programme supporting the philanthropic goals of the University.
The University of Manchester is Britain's largest single-site university with a graduate database of over 450,000 and a proud history of discoveries that have shaped the world. Philanthropy has always been an important part of the University’s history and is central to its future success. This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of that success.
Your primary focus will be to develop and manage a regular giving strategy that aims to increase the numbers of alumni, staff, students and friends who support the University, its students and researchers, and grow the amount donated each year. You will ensure that this is done sustainably through a variety of solicitation methods, in ways that encourage donor loyalty and repeat giving.
This is a key role within the Division of Development and Alumni Relations (DDAR), which provides alumni and donors with exciting and novel opportunities to engage with and support the University. With well-developed and extensive alumni engagement and philanthropic programmes, DDAR has ambitious plans to increase gift income and alumni engagement over the next five years, to support even more deserving students and researchers at the University.
In an ideal world, you’ll be a data-savvy creative dynamo who enjoys poring over spreadsheets to help divine the next stages of a campaign. You should also be highly organised and proactive, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be equally confident working with creative agencies, data analysts and students!
