Part Time Finance Manager
Prospectus is delighted to be supporting the South London Gallery, located in the heart of Peckham and Camberwell, as they look to recruit a new Part-Time Finance Manager. The South London Gallery (SLG) is a locally, nationally and internationally recognised centre for contemporary visual art with an acclaimed and award-winning education and outreach programme. This is an exciting time to join the SLG following the gallery's recent expansion into the former Peckham Road Fire Station.
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the work of the finance department, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice, and works closely with the Deputy Director who, with the Director, has overall financial management responsibility. The Finance Manager processes all trading company finances and supports the Finance Administrator on processing all charity finances. The post is also responsible for inter-company accounting, monitoring and reporting, as well as annual accounts and VAT.
The successful candidate will be familiar with accounting and payroll software, ideally Quickbooks, with experience of payroll, HMRC, pensions, VAT administration and trading companies. The post would suit someone with charity experience who is part or fully qualified, however this is not essential. Experience of producing management accounts and year-end accounts and line management are also all desirable. The SLG supports all staff with training and development.
This part-time role will be 21 hours and can be split across the week as the candidate requires. Interviews will be held on 24th July.
