Supporter Journey Manager

c£40,000 + contributory pension, excellent holidays and other benefits

Based Birmingham

We’re the charity helping people feel happier and healthier by spending more time on and along our canals and rivers. Our rich and tranquil spaces provide places to pause, relax and escape. But without extraordinary people, and the money to make it happen, all of this would be lost. Join us, as one of our experts in supporter journeys, and you can help us make sure life’s better by water by providing the millions of people who use our canals and rivers with clear ways to interact with and support the Trust.

About the role

You’ll work with colleagues across the organisation to develop and implement a supporter journey strategy, with solutions that are backed up by data analytics and that place canal and river users at their heart. You will also work with members of our fundraising and volunteering teams, helping to cultivate meaningful relationships with supporters that will bring long-term value for the Trust.

About you

This role calls for someone with a proven track record of developing supporter journeys, not only in a strategic sense but also at a detailed, technical level using marketing automation and CRM systems. You’ll be skilled at merging online and offline experiences. You’ll also be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of both data analysis and GDPR. With excellent attention to detail, and a highly organised, analytical approach, you will soon be able to make a significant impact on our acquisition marketing and support development strategy.

About us
We’re the charity who look after and bring to life 2,000 miles of canals and rivers. Our waterways contribute to the health and wellbeing of local communities and economies, creating attractive and connected places to live, work, volunteer and spend leisure time. These historic, natural and cultural assets form part of the strategic and local green-blue infrastructure network, linking urban and rural communities as well as habitats. Our waterways are on the doorstep of 8 million people and reach some of the most deprived communities within the UK. By caring for our waterways and promoting their use we believe we can improve the wellbeing of our nation.  Come and be part of it.

Company

No other charity brings so much free, open, and accessible blue and green space to the doorstep of so many. With your support, we can continue our work.

We are one of the UK’s biggest charities and we care for 2,000 miles of canals, rivers, docks and reservoirs because we believe life is better by water.

Along with our waterways we also manage museums, archives and the country’s third largest collection of historic buildings. These all enable us to offer wellbeing opportunities to millions of people each year.

Supporting this varied community who live, work and play on our canals means that we need an incredibly varied workforce. From engineers to ecologists, museum attendants to marketers, hundreds of people work at the Trust, all striving to make sure life is always better by the water.
