The Royal Horticultural Society has been the force behind gardening for more than 200 years.  Best known for our world famous Flower Shows and our Gardens, our charitable work is diverse and includes connecting millions of children with nature through the RHS Campaign for School Gardening, managing RHS Britain in Bloom, Europe’s largest community gardening campaign, and conducting pioneering horticultural science research.

The RHS is half way through a major £40 million fundraising programme, which includes a number of exciting new projects.   The Fundraising Research Executive is a vital role within the fundraising team and in this role you will be providing research into both Trusts and individuals, producing donor profiles, due diligence reports and biographies and helping to feed the major funding pipeline, allowing fundraisers to make informed choices and maximise opportunities on a variety of fundraising activities.

The RHS already has an enviable network of contacts supporting our work but we need to expand our network of trusts and major donors to help fund our ambitious targets.

You’ll have an understanding of fundraising, together with some experience of research and the ability to use a customer contact database, along with a genuine desire to help us access some of the biggest funding sources available.  This is a 12 month fixed term maternity cover and some home working may be considered.
