Relief Support Worker

Our client is a registered housing association providing housing and support primarily for single homeless people. Their aim is to support people in achieving their full potential. They require committed individuals to join their team.
Position: Relief Support Worker
Location: Newhaven and Eastbourne
Job type: Part Time, Permanent
Hours: As and when required, to provide cover for annual leave, sickness etc.
Salary: £10.32 per hour
Closing date: 5th July 2019
Interview dates: 15th July 2019
About the role:
East Sussex Young Mothers Services Offers accommodation and support to 10 young women and children, dispersed across 2 sites. Newhaven Foyer offers support and accommodation to 37 young people with complex needs aged 16-25 years.
Relief workers are required for a range of shift patterns including daytimes, evenings, nights and weekends. Daily responsibilities include overseeing of health safety and welfare issues. You will liaise with other agencies, offer advice on housing, benefits, promote independent living skills and coach young people to achieve their potential.
About you:
For the role, applicants will need to be reliable, organised and excellent communicators, with an approachable nature; capable of dealing with our residents in a calm and understanding manner. Experience of managing challenging situations and of safeguarding issues is required.
A Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Certificate will be required for these roles.
You may have experience of the following: Relief Support Worker, Relief Worker, Support Worker, Care Assistant, Care Worker, Care Staff, Social Care, Charity, Charities, NFP, Not for Profit, Third Sector, etc.
