Head of Acquisition

ActionAid is an international charity that works with women and girls living in poverty. Our dedicated local staff are ending violence against women and girls and helping change lives, for good. We won’t stop until women and girls are out of danger, out of poverty and on track to create the future they want.

This is a key strategic role in our fundraising team, and you’ll have the opportunity to influence and transform the programme.

As a confident and experienced manager, you’ll be a natural leader and driven to develop an outstanding environment in which your team can flourish. It’s very important to us to have a great environment for fundraisers to work in.

Equally important is a commitment to excellence in Direct Marketing. With natural strategic flair, and excellent numeracy, you’ll also have the ability to ensure superb quality in all aspects of operational management across the full range of supporter acquisition activity.

Our fundraising culture is supporter focused and every supporter matters, so you must be able to demonstrate an ability treat all supporters with transparency and dignity.

You will also ensure ActionAid is able to respond quickly and effectively in times of humanitarian crisis by leading on our cold emergency fundraising appeals.

In summary, we’re looking for an outstanding Direct Marketing professional with the talent and enthusiasm to transform the lives of the poorest, most disadvantaged women and children in the world, for good.
