Prospectus is excited to be working with the Autism Research Trust to support their search for an Appeal Director to lead the organisation's capital fundraising campaign to build a new Autism Centre of Excellence. This centre will provide the best in research based therapeutic, emotional and practical support for autistic people from infancy to adulthood, while accelerating autism research.
Reporting to the CEO and working with the wider team, board members and development board, the Appeal Director will lead on developing relationships with new donors; primarily major donors and trusts and foundations, to support the £35m fundraising campaign. The organisation has a strong portfolio and network to begin engaging further in their work through funding support.
The successful candidate will be an experienced senior fundraiser with the ability to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders both internally and externally. The organisation will be interested in meeting candidates with experience of successfully generating 5 or 6 figure gifts within a charitable setting.
The Autism Research Trust is looking for a self-starter with a proactive and energetic approach to fundraising to join them in their mission. In taking on this role, you will enable autistic people to receive access to scientifically evaluated treatments and researchers to be able to directly track and examine clinical outcomes for continued insight and progress.
