Founded in 1903, Fauna & Flora International (FFI) is the world’s longest established international conservation organisation. Our vision is to create a sustainable future for the planet where biodiversity is conserved by the people living closest to it. We aim to do this through the conservation of threatened species and ecosystems worldwide, choosing solutions that are sustainable, based on sound science and take account of human needs. We have become a trusted entity in the world of conservation. Today FFI is active in over 40 countries.

This is a truly exciting time to be joining FFI’s Fundraising Team. Over the past few years we have been honing our fundraising and have created what we believe to be an industry-leading programme, built on developing and nurturing genuine long-term relationships with the people who support our conservation work.

The Trusts and Foundations team is an ambitious and high performing team which has supported growth in income from trusts and foundations of 20% year on year for 5 years in a row. In 2019 FFI aims to raise circa £22 million of which more than half will come from trusts and foundations. Our success to date is far reaching with current relationships spanning multiple countries in Europe as well as the USA and Australia. Now we have set our sights on expansion; following years of strategic development FFI is in the perfect position to take its fundraising to the next level with new opportunities across Europe and in the USA.

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our successful team. Committed to conservation and the environment, you will use your relationship management skills to strengthen existing funding relationships, cultivate opportunities already identified, as well as identify new sources of income for FFI. Using your excellent written skills and knowledge of good project development and delivery, you will work directly with FFI’s conservation programme teams to turn their visions into accurate and compelling proposals and reports. Confidence in face to face meetings and networking is essential as you may be required to travel both in the UK and internationally to cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors.

There is a strong capacity element to this work, and you will share knowledge, learning and resources across FFI and with FFI’s partners across the world to build skills in how to successfully package compelling proposals for external audiences, and best practice in grant management and donor stewardship.

The closing date for applications is Sunday, 30 June 2019.
