Homebased with some travel to head office in Peterborough

Permanent role (35 hours a week). Part-time hours will be considered upon enquiry.

Shine is a thriving charity providing professional advice and support to those living with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus. The charity is embarking on an exciting fundraising strategy and is now recruiting for a Grants and Trust Manager to join the team.

Shine is looking for an outstanding, ambitious and compelling communicator to lead the Grants and Trusts Team. The individual will:

  • Manage Shine's Trust Funding Team to achieve income targets.
  • Prepare clear, accurate and compelling written applications, project plans and proposals to major grant makers and other funders.
  • Develop a broad and in-depth knowledge of Shine's work, in partnership with lead service staff to develop an improved, more informed approach to submitting applications.
  • Keep abreast of developments within the funding sector to maximise opportunities for making approaches.
  • Research new and existing funders that match to Shine's aims.
  • Engage with funders to develop successful relationships and generate income.

     

 

We’re a team looking for someone to join us with:

 

  • Proficiency in producing high quality, compelling and accurate written communication.
  • The ability to match external brief requirements with the Shine’s aims.
  • Excellent ability to motivate, inspire and engage with internal and external audiences.
  • Confident in managing budgets.
  • Experience of managing and developing a pipeline and cultivating and stewarding relationships to achieve targets.
  • Knowledge of the grant funding environment in the UK is desirable.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
