Job Details
No one in the UK should need a food bank's help. We want a future without food banks, without hunger, and without poverty. Last year, food banks in the Trussell Trust network gave out a record 1.6 million food parcels to people in crisis - a 19% increase on the previous year. More than half a million of these went to children. This isn't right, and it can change.
The Trussell Trust supports a nationwide network of food banks which provide emergency food and additional services to people locked in poverty. We also campaign for change, challenging the structural issues that lock people into poverty. This is an exciting time for the Trussell Trust. We're currently developing our new strategy, working with food banks and those who need them, and we have ambitious plans to grow our impact and advocacy work to end the need for food banks in the UK.
Director of Fundraising
The Trussell Trust
Competitive
Flexible, including travel to Salisbury and London
We're looking for a Director of Fundraising to play a key role in ensuring we deliver on our ambition to end the need for food banks in the UK. The Director of Fundraising will be instrumental in developing and delivering a fundraising strategy to support our new organisational strategy, building on our recently developed case for support, and creating sustainable growth from a diverse range of income streams. In particular, the Director will drive a step change in our individual giving income, using an insight-led approach to develop key audiences and deliver excellent supporter care and long term value. The Director will lead a culture of ambitious achievement and play a lead role in developing our new organisational strategy, working closely and collaboratively with the senior leadership group.
We are looking for an ambitious, passionate leader who brings a track record of securing sustainable income or marketing growth from a range of sources, especially consumer fundraising or marketing. You will have successfully developed and implemented ambitious strategies and will have a solid understanding of the range of income streams. You will be a supportive and adaptable leader, who enjoys working in close collaboration with highly-motivated peers to ensure the organisation's vision is upheld at every turn. Most importantly, you will be passionate about the work of the Trussell Trust and our aim to end hunger and poverty in the UK.
