Prospectus is delighted to be partnering with Association of Chairs to recruit their new Communications Manager. This is a really exciting opportunity to embed yourself to be a key member of the team, playing a central role in the growth and development of the organisation.
AOC are a forward-thinking organisation, dedicated to providing value and resources to Chairs, enabling them to succeed and change the world for the better. They support the needs of Chairs in the charity and not-for profit sector including: housing associations, charities, voluntary organisations, community groups, universities and educational trusts.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing the overall communications strategy and aims, helping AOC to reach a cross-section of Chairs with their services, products and members benefits. Focusing on membership growth and retention, day-to-day duties will consist of managing website content, site layout and design, writing newsletters, blogs, managing social media as well as video and podcasts. You will have the opportunity to deepen engagement with members and supporters using feedback to continually improve the customer experience. The placed candidate will also design and commission materials to enhance the overall brand of the organisation.
To be considered for this role, it is essential to have established communications experience within a not-for profit or membership environment. You will be highly personable and enjoy working with a range of people. You are required to have exceptional writing skills, engaging different audiences with compelling and impactful content. In addition, you will have experience of website content, CRM systems and social media, using your creative flair to develop new ideas and solutions. The ideal candidate will have the ability to build sustainable relationships and have experience of using WordPress and MailChimp (or equivalent).
Please be advised the starting salary is £35k, however the salary bracket is dependent on skills and experience.
