Our client is situated in 68 acres of Hertfordshire parkland between Harlow and Bishop’s Stortford. They support people with Epilepsy and other complex needs from the age of 5 through to 78 in their Children’s Home, School, College and Residential Adult Home with nursing and Day Centre. Over 150 adults and children call it their home making them an inspirational place to do great work.
Position: Chef
Location: Much Hadham, Hertfordshire
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £19,253– £21,767 per annum depending on experience, plus voluntary overtime opportunities (£9.87 to £11.16 per hour)

About the role:
When you join our client you will be part of something special. They are looking to recruit a Chef to join their excellent on site catering team. They provide approximately 200 meals daily during the week in their restaurant to staff and residents, as well as meals delivered to the residents & learners on site. They also provide occasional catering for our clients special occasions and events.
You will be planning, cooking and serving nutritious, healthy food that their staff residents will love.
About you:
- Is passionate about producing good quality food that tastes and looks good, to include special diets.
- Enjoys working as part of a team.
- Is skilled in food production.
- Has a good knowledge of food hygiene, allergen and Health and Safety compliance.
- Is reliable and is flexible – not only relating to the working hours (see below) but in their general attitude to work (as our work here is incredibly varied).
