Our client are looking for a reliable and motivated person to join their professional team as a Team Leader (Social Care) at their brand new service in Stockport.

Salary: Circa £17,500 per annum (pro rata) 

This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week within their brand new Supported Living service.

Ideally they are looking for candidates who are able to commit to a full time role however they are happy to consider job sharing. 

About the role

The Team leader will need to manage the day to day running of a responsive innovative and high quality service for people with sensory impairments and complex needs. Special attention will be paid to the creation of a continuous learning environment that will seek to maximise the potential of each person. 

You will assist the manager in the running of the service including co-ordinating and supervising the team to ensure that all shared responsibilities are fulfilled and systems maintained.

You will be leading a team who will support 11 individuals with a learning disability and/or autism who are transitioning to their own accommodation. 

A full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle is an essential requirement for this role. However, they will endeavour to make reasonable adjustments for any disabled candidates that apply.

About you

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate willingness to participate in training and development. You will need to communicate in a variety of different methods and be prepared to deal with challenging situations. You will also be expected to work on your own initiative and show patience and understanding.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of motivating others including carrying out supervision meetings. You will have experience of working with adults with disabilities, monitoring the care provided and identifying and resolving issues arising from the 'day to day' operation.
