An international charity are looking for a Grants and Compliance Officer to develop and implement systems and processes that enable the charity to manage their growing portfolio of grants effectively.

With strong experience of grant management and compliance you will work closely with colleagues from a range of teams to assist in understanding, communicating and meeting funders/donor's requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
-Leading grant and contract administration.
Working with finance and legal teams to manage grant and contractual financial processes and minimise the risk of ineligible costs.
-Developing and maintaining a global grants management system to support accurate grant tracking and reporting, in close cooperation with counterparts based in North America and Europe.
-Developing a monthly grant management analysis for senior leadership based on the consolidated global philanthropy and government pipeline.
-Communicating with donors to resolve problems and addressing grant management information requests.
-Engaging with project leads across their offices to coordinate resourcing across existing and new projects, with specific attention to co-funding requirements and implications for staffing.
-Reviewing funding opportunities and providing input on contractual requirements (e.g. eligibility criteria) to inform decision making on the pursuit of grant opportunities
-Working with colleagues from across the charity to develop budgets which meet both the charity's and donors' requirements and support global cost recovery.
-Supporting programme teams to develop narrative and financial reports that are aligned with grant agreement requirements.
-Building staff capacity and providing support to ensure grants are managed in compliance with donor requirements.

Skills and Experience required:
-Experience in a field relevant to grant management (e.g. business administration, social sciences, accounting, legal administration, international development).
-Experience identifying compliance issues and developing tools, processes or procedures to improve compliance.
-Experience using resource management and planning skills to develop efficient systems and processes to support effective grant management.
-Experience or demonstrable understanding of donor contract and budget management, reporting and cost eligibility and compliance.
-Excellent attention to detail and general administrative skills.
-Strong organisational skills with a methodical approach to working on several tasks simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
-Evidenced ability to work and initiate solutions independently.
-Strong ICT skills and proficiency with fundraising databases desirable
