Founded in 1830, this charity is UK’s learned society and professional body for geography and geographers. It has an international reputation and a global membership of 16,000 providing intellectual, financial and volunteer support. Their programme of public, policy and educational engagement with audiences reaches several million people each year through events, their popular magazine: Geographical, and their online resources.

They are seeking a talented writer and communications specialist with a particular understanding of how to reach and engage with members and potential members. As Membership Communications Officer you will develop and implement recruitment and retention plans for all of this organisation's membership categories, building and maintaining strong relationships to help increase their visibility and promote their services.

Reporting to the Head of Public Engagement and Communications, this is an exciting time to join this team and further develop their membership communication and engagement.
