Treasury Specialist

Part time, Fixed Term Contract – Up to 12 Months

Hours of work: Either 5 days per week at 3½ hours per day or 2½ days week

There has never been a more exciting time to join us in our fight for our planet.  We are now on the look-out for an experienced Treasury Specialist to join our Finance team. You will use your experience of performing large volume complex reconciliations to help ensure sound controls over the income and balance sheet of the organisation that is focussed on saving the world.

Join us and you will focus on accurately recording income, maintaining controls over bank and income control accounts and providing our sales ledger function. This will involve revaluation of foreign currency accounts, processing income, updating daily bank reporting and short term cashflow forecasting. Treasury Specialist will support our Treasury Manager to monitor current bank account and deposit balances and ensure they remain within treasury policy limits too. You will also make sure sufficient funds are available when needed as well as oversee the sales ledger processes. Your remit will include investigating significant activity and communicating with banks regarding transaction queries.

As Treasury Specialist you must have experience of working in a finance team in a medium or large sized organisation and performing large volume complex reconciliations. You will possess good accounting software skills, including Excel, and be used to operating accounting systems, ideally Sun.

You’ll need to be calm under pressure and effective at managing your workload and prioritising activities at all time. A team player, you will have excellent communication skills too.

The Treasury Specialist will demonstrate experience of working with foreign currencies and working in a Treasury environment would be an advantage. Ideally you will also be studying towards a relevant qualification.
