Our client is the longest standing registered service charity that provides welfare support to the RAF Family - providing friendship, help and support to current and former members of the Royal Air Force and their dependents. They are looking for a Welfare Support Officer (WSO) to support the Regional Welfare Manager in their management and support of welfare volunteers to provide support to beneficiaries seeking welfare assistance.

Salary: *£24,380 - £25,664 (* Starting Salary)
Hours of work: Full time 37 ½ Hours Per Week
Location: Weston super Mare
The WSO will ensure that people eligible for support receive an efficient and effective service in line with the Association’s welfare policies and where it is unable to help people, they are signposted to alternative sources of support. In addition to this, the WSO will deputise for the Regional Welfare Manager in their absence for holiday, sickness etc.
The ideal candidate will hold a Level 4 management qualification or similar and have a strong administrative background with good attention to detail, methodical, organised working practices and written skills. They will have the experience of working on case management databases, the knowledge of welfare service and systems and be highly proficient in the use of I.T, specifically Word, Outlook, Excel and Internet (to be tested at interview).
An Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check is required for this post. A driving licence and access to own vehicle is required.
