Job Details
Our client is an independent charity that works towards a world where people affected by crime or traumatic events get the support they need and the respect they deserve. They help victims feel safer and help them find the strength they need to move beyond crime. They are currently looking to recruit a number of experienced Independent Domestic and Sexual Violence Advocates, to provide a high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic abuse.
As an Independent Domestic and Sexual Violence Advocate, you will deliver a premium, support service prioritised according to risk, primarily focusing on victims and survivors aged 16+. You will develop individual safety plans to meet client's needs, and will take action to continually safeguard adults and children as a priority. You will initiate, develop, maintain and monitor multiagency links through procedures and protocols to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.
To apply for this role, you must have demonstrable experience of providing direct support to victims of domestic abuse or vulnerable people. You must have a good understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children, and the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management. You must have experience of working within a multi-agency and legislative framework, and of managing a complex caseload.
Please note, the core hours for this role will be Monday-Friday 9am 5pm, however candidates will be required to work flexibility on occasion, dependent on client needs.
To be considered, you must be available immediately and be in possession of a fully enhanced DBS check (Adults & Children) that is registered to the online update service.
