Acts of Hope exists to provide education to children living in urban slums. The charity currently supports a school in Bangalore, India, providing free education to over 400 children from nursery to Standard 10, and to several individuals engaged in further education.

Having operated since 2000, the charity (AoH UK) recently incorporated as a CIO in preparation for growth, with the goal of supporting more impoverished and disadvantaged children. Could you lead this growth?

Reporting to the Board, the Director of AoH UK will be responsible for fundraising, communications and small business administration. Initial requirements will be to develop a strategic plan in conjunction with trustees, maintain and build on existing relationships in the UK and India, develop a case for support and raise profile in order to generate income.

You will be an accomplished fundraiser, ideally across all channels and with an understanding of the iNGO space. Skills across marketing and communications encompassing digital, external relations and database management will be essential to achieve success. Above all, you will be strongly motivated by the opportunity to  improve children’s life chances and thereby remove them from poverty.
