Door to Door Fundraising Manager

About the role
Our fundraising division is busy working to deliver a newly developed 5-year fundraising strategy 2015-2020, so it’s a particularly exciting and challenging time to join us. This particular role sits within our in-house face-to-face and door-to-door teams that deliver around 85% of Shelter’s new regular giving supporters. Your challenge? To provide inspirational training, coaching and leadership, set high standards and make sure team leaders provide motivational and results-focused management of team members. We’ll also rely on you to be present on a daily basis in the field to make sure the teams are fulfilling target requirements. Liaising with external suppliers, including recruitment agencies, will be important too, as will making sure we comply with IOF guidelines for D2D activity. And, when it comes to providing feedback or helping to resolve instances of under-performance, again we'll count on you.
You’ll need proven relevant experience and an in-depth understanding of the fundraising environment and the value of regular giving. We’ll also be looking for a proactive, results-driven approach, lots of creativity and innovation and the communication and people management skills it takes to motivate and influence others. Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint plus experience of using databases for reporting is also required.
