Senior Research Executive

You are curious and inquisitive about what God is doing in the four corners of the UK and further afield.  You’re an independent thinker - someone who looks for a fresh angle, makes new contacts, and isn’t afraid to present ideas that question accepted wisdom, whilst also understanding the importance of boundaries.

As an independent minded researcher, you’ll conduct in-depth research into Christian ministries and church initiatives around the UK, and then shape coherent, focused findings to support Stewardship and our donors in making considered donations and Kingdom investment decisions.  This research could involve anything from interviewing a ministry’s clients, to co-ordinating ministry sharing events to gain a perspective on how a particular area is evolving.  An engaging writer and presenter, you’ll have the persistence and curiosity to seek out new contacts in sometimes esoteric areas – and then summarise what you’ve learned in a coherent way.

You may have a background in academia, investment research or journalism and some reporting or publishing experience.  Just as important are strong organisational skills – you may be juggling several tasks at once, and you’ll have to take responsibility for managing your projects and seeing them through to completion.  A self-motivated approach is clearly important, together with the ability to quickly build sound working relationships, through telephone interviews and face-to-face meetings.
