The University of Portsmouth is looking to recruit an expert in database governance, management and administration in the role of Advancement Operations Manager. The post holder will be responsible for the configuration, implementation and maintenance of the CRM database and Office of Alumni and Advancement systems in support of fundraising, partner engagement and volunteer activities. 

The post holder will be required to manage, develop and maintain databases and systems, and will drive fundraising data strategy and provide database analysis, marketing and technical expertise to enable fundraisers to maximise income and supporter retention. 

The post-holder will be joining the University at an exciting time. The University has recently completed an assessment of alumni and advancement activity to date, and this role is seen as central to delivering many of the recommendations to support the University in its commitment to building a sustainable alumni and advancement operation. 

The Alumni and Advancement team build long-term relationships with alumni, other individuals, companies and charitable trusts. Our aim is to create a wide community that feels part of the University, which will generate support both financially and in kind to enhance the University’s work. The post holder will develop, nurture and grow potential donor and donor communications to further this work.
