The University of Portsmouth is looking to recruit an experienced alumni engagement professional to join our expanding Alumni and Advancement team. The post holder will be responsible for devising, implementing and managing the University of Portsmouth’s new alumni engagement strategy. The purpose of this strategy will be to foster engagement through volunteering, communications and events that will build and strengthen relationships between the University and its community of nearly 150,000 graduates, friends, students and donors. 

The post-holder will be joining the University at an exciting time. The University has had some alumni activity for a decade, and following a recent assessment of alumni activity to date, the University is committed to building a sustainable alumni and advancement operation. 

The Alumni and Advancement team build long-term relationships with alumni, other individuals, companies and charitable trusts. Our aim is to create a wide community that feels part of the University, which will generate support both financially and in kind to enhance the University’s work. The post holder will develop, nurture and grow potential donor and donor communications to further this work.
