About the role:

Do you have a passion for new business, with a successful track record to match? Can you build strategic and significant charity partnerships with national corporations? This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career within an experienced Partnership Development (Corporate Fundraising) team. The sheer scale and pioneering nature of the work at the hospital makes this role interesting and varied. This is a senior level role, reporting directly into the Deputy Director of Corporate Partnerships. It benefits from a high level of autonomy, income targets that are motivating and ambitious, and a great, tangible cause that is a five-minute walk from the office and can be shown to current and prospective supporters.

This post is one of three Senior Partnership Development Managers. The senior managers strategically lead their sector, whilst working together to lead the team, including representing Partnership Development at internal discussions, working with their Corporate Partnerships Board, and actively contributing to the business planning process. A key element of the role is line management with an emphasis on motivating, coaching and supporting direct reports.

About The Team:

The Corporate Partnerships team plays a vital role in supporting the charity, raising millions of pounds every year through the successful delivery of an impressive portfolio of corporate supporters. The team has the benefit of a clear strategy, an inspiring cause, a fantastic charity brand, incredible networks and leverage through an active Corporate Partnerships Board, and a reputation for being one of the strongest corporate fundraising teams in the sector.

About you:

The ideal candidate will have experience securing partnerships with multinational companies, ideally with a fundraising environment. You will have generated new business worth over £500k, from prospect negotiation through to contract negotiation.

Specifically, you will have:

- Experience of implementing and delving a sector specific strategy to generate new business.
- Exceptional communication skills with proven success in proposal writing and pitching.
- A creative and proactive mindset to compliment commercial acumen.
- An enterprising mindset with the ability to drive and develop new ideas from conception to implementation.
- Gravitas with a professional, thorough and considered approach.
- Formal line management experience.
- Demonstrable knowledge of effective line management, including how to coach, lead and inspire others.

The ideal candidate will also have:

- Knowledge and understanding of charity law, particularly within the remit of corporate fundraising.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of the finance sector.
- Experience working with or for a children’s and / or health related charity.

About the Charity

Every day brings new challenges for our client. Every day, over 600 seriously ill children from across the UK arrive for life-changing treatments. And every day, the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs that change the lives of thousands of children – and change the world. This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support to give seriously ill children the best chance to fulfil their potential. Without donations, our client can’t help fund ground-breaking research, advanced equipment, child and family support services, and the rebuilding and refurbishment of wards and medical facilities. Their staff help to raise these vital funds for the hospital. A better future for seriously ill children starts with you.
