A great opportunity has arisen for a Development Events Manager for a youth development and arts related charity in order to maximise fundraising event income, develop and deliver the charity bespoke challenge event. This will be a full time, 6 months FTC.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Develop the charity s bespoke challenge event
Work closely with the marketing team to develop and deliver a marketing strategy to drive growth of the event.
Liaise with the Corporate Partnerships team to secure sponsorship for the event.
Lead on the development and cultivation of strategic relationships with key individuals and/or influencers to ensure the events success is maximised, personally managing these relationships where appropriate.
Ensuring event participants receive an exceptional supporter experience and developing stewardship plans to ensure they achieve their fundraising target (working with the Events and Corporate Coordinator to deliver this).
Work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders across the organisation, including but not limited to youth engagement, performing arts, music, marketing, comms and digital.
Manage the income and expenditure budget ensuring the event achieves agreed fundraising targets and ROI.
To produce detailed reports and financial analysis on progress as required.


In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:

Significant Event Manager experience, specifically leading on Challenge events.
Experience of growing challenge event activity and over-achieving financial targets.
Excellent planning, influencing, organisational and project management skills.
The ability to juggle a wide range of activities, prioritise own workload, deal with conflicting demands and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent copywriting/proofing skills and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
Desirable
Experience of developing new fundraising activity.
Experience of working with high net worth individuals and committees.
Experience delivering special event activity.
