Gift Aid Officer
NSPCC Fundraising raises £110m of supporter donations per year and we manage relationships with over 1 million supporters. Gift Aid forms an important part of this income, raising over £8m p.a for the Society.
This vacant post is part of the busy Supporter Services department and is due to maternity leave. The department plays a vital role in how we deliver high levels of supporter experience to all those who donate or respond to NSPCC fundraising campaigns by efficiently dealing with all of our supporter’s generous donations.
As NSPCC Gift Aid Officer, you will have a dedicated responsibility for ensuring that the whole end to end process for Gift Aid is carried out effectively, compliantly and flawlessly. You already will have experience in Gift Aid and in keeping your technical knowledge fully up to date.
The role involves working with all Fundraising teams to support and develop their understanding of Gift Aid; ensuring that correct processes are in place from donation form design, through to claims and ensuring that every opportunity is taken to maximise Gift Aid across all NSPCC fundraising.
You should have a great track record of acquiring and applying Gift Aid technical expertise, with the ability to show that you are ‘subject matter expert’ on complex matters regarding Gift Aid.
You will have good communication skills, able to engage confidently and credibly with people at all levels and you will also be highly numerate as a key accountability is the creation and analysis of financial information and data.
Finally, you will also have great experiences of applying good problem-solving skills and be at ease in a busy office environment.
