This charity helps rural communities to tackle the issues they face, through promoting and supporting community business. Community businesses are enterprises that are owned and run democratically by members of the community and others, on behalf of the community. They come in many forms, including shops, pubs, woodlands and anything which lends itself to community ownership. In addition to developing and safeguarding valuable assets and services, community businesses address a range of issues including isolation, loneliness, wellbeing, work and training.
Our client is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join a national charity and be part of bringing positive change to rural communities across the UK.
Reporting to the Head of Engagement, you will support the charity to deliver the communications strategy, taking a proactive approach to raising the profile of the organisation. You will be a communications professional with strong stakeholder engagement skills and will have experience of working across multiple projects, as well as identifying and utilising new opportunities.
You will be joining our client in their centenary and will have the opportunity to lead and shape communications in line with strategic objectives, acting as brand guardian, whilst delivering exceptional operational communications support to the organisation. You will be a leading representative for the charity, so the confidence to drive their communications, media and PR presence is essential.
