WellChild is the national charity for seriously ill children and their families. Through a UK-wide network of children’s nurses, home and garden transformation projects and family support services, WellChild, which has HRH The Duke of Sussex as its Patron, exists to give this growing population of children and young people the best chance to thrive – properly supported at home, together with their families.

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative, dynamic and determined individual to join our ambitious, high-profile and fast-paced organisation to lead WellChild’s fundraising and events activity. This is a diverse and challenging role responsible for the development and delivery of a strategic and operational plan with the objective of increasing sustainable income and awareness across all of WellChild’s fundraising areas.

The successful candidate will be an exceptional senior leader with the vision and ability to inspire, manage and develop teams. You will have a significant track record of successful fundraising and meeting substantial targets, outstanding communication skills, an innovative and creative approach, be able to develop strong and positive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders and balance and respond to a large and diverse workload.

As this is a Senior Management Team position reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will also be experienced in working as part of a successful and progressive leadership team and will have the opportunity to make an impact across the whole organisation.

This post is primarily based in Cheltenham but will involve some travel throughout the UK.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religious belief, sexual orientation or age.
