They currently have a fantastic opportunity for Link Workers to join their support and employability team in Gloucester. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team you will fully assess, support and encourage independence for their young people by removing barriers they face in their day to day lives. You will enable them to gain a wide range of interpersonal and practical skills by supporting, motivating, inspiring and teaching.
 
You will be a voice for their young people by building positive relationships whilst encouraging them to speak up for themselves regardless of background, enhancing their quality of life, particularly those with complex issues including social isolation and alienation, trauma, lack of self-confidence and low self-esteem.
 
You will have the ability to deal effectively with support plans, key work, risk assessments, repairs, voids, lettings and contractors and demonstrate knowledge and competency in all areas of housing management, including recent legislative developments and income management.
 
The successful candidate will have previous experience supporting young people and adults including housing advice, advocacy work or residential work. You will also have experience managing support plans, writing and reviewing risk assessments and working in a multidisciplinary team. It would be advantageous if you have a relevant professional qualification in social work, housing, social care or youth and community.
