Database Services Executive

Competitive Salary

The Living Planet Centre, Woking, GU21 4LL

Our world needs you like never before. We need you to join us in the fight for our world. The Database Services Executive is a key member of our Database Services Team. You will provide essential support to our Supporter Income and Engagement and Communications Departments by helping manage our central supporter database and associated systems, to ensure that donors are better targeted and engaged.

You will import data received from varied sources and manage highly detailed specifications of acceptable data formats as well as ensuring that the quality and integrity of data held is maintained to the highest standard. You will also implement, support and manage data requirements for fundraising, and supporter engagement, campaigns and projects including software enhancement and data system upgrade.

You will also manage system configuration, customisation and maintenance of data tables as well as undertake the writing and running complex marketing data selections based on briefs received from our internal customers.

You must have a good understanding of relational databases and data management techniques as well as experience of querying large datasets using appropriate tools such as SQL and FastStats. As a good communicator you will be effective at problem solving and implementing solutions as well as managing relationships with users and suppliers.

You will also be comfortable providing information, analysis, interpretation and advice to internal and external stakeholders. Coupling this with an understanding of fundraising and direct marketing processes would be advantageous. A high level of numeracy and computer literacy is also a requirement.

Company

Best known as the world’s leading conservation body, we’ve seen first-hand how wildlife, the environment and human activity are all interlinked.

That’s why our passion for safeguarding the natural world has to be backed up by other environmental action – tackling the global threat of climate change (through our big global campaigns like Earth Hour) and helping people to change the way they live to ease pressure on natural resources.

WWF is at the heart of global activities in all these areas. We have teams of highly skilled professionals working with governments, businesses and communities here in the UK and around the world.
